As the Tar Heel Traveler, I have journeyed many miles across North Carolina, and I’m always amazed at what I find. I tell my stories Monday through Thursdays at 5:55 p.m. on WRAL-TV, and I also write about them in my books. I have written six books that chronicle my television adventures—the fascinating places I have visited and colorful characters I have met. I also write about food and restaurants, miracles and inspiration—wow, what a fantastic mix! From Murphy to Manteo, the mountains to the coast, my books celebrate North Carolina. Aren’t we lucky to live in such a beautiful state? There’s a pleasant surprise around every bend!
